DON’T ALLOW NEGATIVE WORDS TO GAIN ROOT.
I hope I’m not the only one that has experienced the evil of the tongue?
Have you ever had the experience of a negative word spoken to you now working against you?
Sometimes ago, I had a difference of opinion with someone and the person used a negative word to describe me and it almost became my reality. In the person’s words “you are not good for anything”. My mistake was that I permitted it. The power of the tongue came to work that day.
This heavy word came at me like a punch from a heavy weight champion, the type I couldn’t dodge. Oh! I ruminated over it. Got different interpretations for it, did self analysis to see if truly the person was right. Doing this, I allowed the word to take root, my bad!
Can you believe that this word became my reality that period? Nothing else I did was good enough. I began to make mistakes, became bitter and irritated. People got blinded to my good nature and started treating me the other way round.
I became the bad person until I decided to stop the evil flow.
The charge this day is,
Don’t allow negative words to take root. As it is being spoken counter it with the right and positive words.
Be angry in your spirit while you calmly but firmly reject it and declare the good you want. It is not your fault when people can’t see how good you are but it becomes your fault at the point of allowing negativity to take you over. Indeed the tongue is a fire which if not quenched on time can cause nonredeemable destruction. The power of life and death lies in the tongue.
Toxic people everywhere, declare who God says you are and don’t permit negativity around you.
You should also determine to use the tongue wisely, it can be bridled.
- Don’t destroy another’s life with your tongue.
- Speak good to people’s life.
- Give hope with your tongue. Chastise in a godly way.
- Let your being blunt be laced with Love and your words always with Grace, seasoned with salt.
Psalm 34:13 Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile.
Don’t allow negative words to fall to the ground not to talk of it germinating and taking root.
